I hope someone has a tip in what I think is a bit unfair ....3 weeks ago I booked at the travelodge for 6 nights @ 26 x night now checking for some additional nights and prices the same period comes up at £10 per night....I know the terms states that these are non refundable or amendable ( my original booking ) but I think it is a bit unfair to charge different prices for the same room in the same hotel. Anyone know if I can do anythink .....spoken with a customer service agent on their phone service but she could only say sorry can't help....we don't deal with the internet booking. Any idea would be really appreciated as it will save me £90 over.
thanks for all your help

If the t&c state that you cannot change the booking without charge I think you are stuck with it. Does the booking confirmation tell you how much you have to pay if you are a no show?
If it is only 1 night it might be worthwhile cancelling and re booking.
To be honest £26 for a Travelodge room is still great value (no I don't work for them but have used them in the past and will do so again)
Companies have promotions when trading is a bit slow to perk up some business and in this case you have lost out, but, if you had not booked in advance you could be paying £55 per night.0 -
You've spoken with a customer service agent, but have you tried calling the hotel itself? I've had some success with doing that, the sites don't always work as they should!0

erm...you've paid £26 for a room that costs £46(I think) normally(or if you walked in off the street on that day). Not sure you can argue the ethics of them charging different prices for a room in their various promotions, but by all means you can ask the hotel about it.0 -

Just an update :
I have spoken to a customer service agent and to the hotel but nothing can be done and payment has been taken . this is quite unfair as the same product is sold at different prices to different people. Uhmmm....
thank you all for your help.

Guess you have just been unlucky. But looking at things another way - some people staying at the same time will have paid full price. Do you feel it unfair that you have paid less than them? Would if be more fair if you paid the full price rather than the £26.
It works both ways, you are unlucky that yo are paying £26 rather than £10, but you are lucky that you are only paying £26 rather than full price.
I suggest that you try to put it out of your mind, and enjoy your stay.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

Can you not see the irony in your post though, you are complaining about the very thing you have done? If everyone paid the same there would be no promotions or sales ever, no bargains to be had, no incentive to organise/buy stuff early.
Even if you had seen the £10 rooms before you booked it only covers certain nights, would you have definitely been able to get the missing nights at £26, or would some ofthem been £46 so overall cost of your stay may well have still been similar0 -

As said above the SAME 6 nights are now £10 per night with a total of £60 compared to £156 I paid. I repeat the Same nights not just some nights. How would you feel if you loose £96 for the same product / service ? let me know ....Filiss0 -
I dont think you can complain. People run promotions, and it even states in a big box when you confirm that you cant adjust the order.
I saw some £26 offers, and chose to wait and hope for £10. If the £10 hadnt been done this year, I would have been stuck paying £70 a night for 5nights.
You are paying £26, which you were obviously delighted to pay at the time, so dont lose sight of that.Be nice0 -
I recently booked flights to Amsterdam for New Year. 2 days later I booked some more for my brother and they were cheaper. A couple of days later I booked some more for friends and they had gone up again. Now they are an absolutely extortionate price. Just don't worry about it and have a good trip. This space has been intentionally left blank0

I dont see how this is unfair. You could have waited to see if these rooms were reduced to £10 but you decided to take the bargain price of £26 (this is a bargain) which clearly states is non refundable. I have used the £26 offer in the past but i did not then go back on the site to see if they were reduced further or indeed gone up to full price. I assume that if when you looked again your room was only available at full price you would have got in touch with hotel and offered the extra (not). I really feel you have got a bargain and that is how you should be thinking0
