Interest free period soon ending on cards

My husband transferred a lot of debt to three interest free for the first ?? months credit cards.
They are soon going to be coming to an end and he still has a lot to pay off.
If he cannot find any more interest free cards prepared to take him on, considering the rise in interest rates on some cards would he be better off taking out a loan for the remainder (around £4,500) for say three or four years?
Thoughts invited on this please.
Thanks

I would say life of balance cards would be a better option than a loan

The Abbey Zero credit card is 0% BT for 6months and theres no BT fee either.
Does he have a good credit rating?? If not, have you considered opening a credit card in your name and BT the debt across to another 0% BT card.

Sorry for delay in coming back to this post. My laptop has broken and have managed to borrow one.
Husbands credit rating was not good as he missed payments, and really messed up but its improving so I guess the thing to do is near the end of time start looking round for others to take him on. The %free ones he has have had all their payments on time so hopefully this will improve his chances. If not will consider what you suggested.
