Ncp

Just curious about this as it was a few years ago. Both my hubby and myself had our own cars and our own insurance. We had each other on as named drivers. I had no claim protection on and was allowed to use it twice before I lost it. I claimed once when my car was stolen. My hubby had his car written off, wasn't much but they didn't think it was worth repairing. He claimed on his insurance. Because he was named on mine I had to tell my insurance. I lost my ncp and my insurance went up, just seemed unfair as I didn't claim on mine for him. Is this what usually happens?
