loft hatch open

In hot weather i open my loft hatch as it carries all the hot air upstairs into my loft which seems to cool the house down
Is there any dangers of doing this, such as the house getting damp etc
It really does work, when you first open it on a hot day you can feel all the warm air rushing up past you
I closed it last night though as it was cold!

They're shouldn't be any danger of your house getting damp, in fact allowing air to cirulate through your house should actively avoid damp!0
