Pregnancy Q re "shows"

My wife is expecting our 2nd child

With our first my wife got a "show" about 2 days before my daughter was born

Does anyone know whether that is likely to happen again with our second?

Many thanks

D

  • Well, each pregnancy and labour is different so it's not a certainty that this labour will follow the same pattern as the first - but I think most women have a show anything from a few days beforehand to actually after the contractions have started.

Sorry not much help there but best of luck with the new baby!

i've had 2 pregnancies, 1 with a show an labour started the following day and the other i had no show at all.

like the other person has said, every pregnancy and person is different :)

    goodluck!
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A
  • You can have a show weeks before baby is born, and you can have one in the middle of labour - sometimes you may not have one at all.

too true! I had a show few days before DD1 followed by 26 hour labour ending with forceps delivery. Second time around waters broke (Exploded? :o ) 20 minute labour (YES minutes!) baby shoots out no problem.

You cannae tell! And good luck with baby!
