Hello all,
I am blooming Raging at T-mobile phones, Having been a customer for over 4 years I discovered that my phone wouldn't charge as it is still under guarantee I sent it off to be repaired it returned 4 days later with a note attached sating it had liquid contamination? I argued this as the phone simply wouldn't charge and had never been near liquid?
I sent it to Motorola independents who returned it stating the same thing? even though they didn't bother to examine the phone I have written 3 letters and made 2 phone calls pointing out that the phone was not nor has it ever been near liquid at any time, so was imposable for the phone to have liquid contamination?
On closer inspection of the phone where it charges up on of the metal connectors has fallen off which is all that is wrong with the phone?
My friend has got the same phone as me and she charges my battery up in her phone then my phone works perfectly
So again I wrote to T-mobile and got told that as the phone was suffering with liquid contamination they where not obliged to repair it I pointed out to them that the problem was nothing to do with liquid contamination and that there was a component missing from the phone? Reply" sorry liquid contamination ends end guarantee on this phone", so there you have it? Any advice would be fantastic as at the moment T-mobile have stumped me with a phone I cant use! a contract I cant cancel and they are refusing to reduce my tariff unless I extend my contract for a further 12 months so at the moment its costing me £30 a month until feb?

I had same problem with my nokia a couple of years ago which I got from JAG on T Mobile. Me and hubbie had same phone. His stopped working after 2 weeks so they gave him a new phone no problems. Mine stopped after 4 weeks and they sent it off. Came back as liquid contamination. They told me I must have used it in the rain! I might have left it in the car or downstairs in the cold when the heating was off. Hello it's a mobile phone we live in the UK -fit for the purpose etc. I argued back that their storage may have been the problem. If there was condesation in the phone when I bought it then the problem already existed when they sold it to me. They gave me a new phone and at the end of the contract I left T Moblie.
Personnally I would never deal with T Mobile again. They cocked up my hubbies renewal which we only found out when his phone became faulty. The shop took 2 weeks to send it off and T mobile announced it was then over 12 months old. In that case he would like an upgrade then as he is entitled to - no they said his contract had another month to run!! They had delayed allocating the loyalty discount when he had previously renewed - which he complained about at the time - but the loyalty discount was for 12 months so they held him to a 13 month contract.
Both now with Orange. Went via Chatterbox.com
