I have been doing practise runs of my meal plans over the last couple of weeks and now getting into the swing of it! So here's mine
Monday - Jacket spuds & Cheesey Beans
Tuesday - Spag Bol (cooked in SC)
Wednesday - Lasagne
Thursday - MIL's
Friday - Take away
Saturday - HM pizza
Sunday - Cooked chicken & roast tatties0 -
Wish I could find enough recipes using mince for my very fussy children to eat! All the usual apart from spag bol once in a while are refused - and I hate the waste if that happens and there's a limit to how much left over I can eat!!;) - but am looking at what you guys are doing and taking inspiration.:T Have always made homemade stuff but seem to be having trouble with 11yo and 7yo who will not eat the same things! No fish, no cheese for DS (allergic) so that cuts down options and don't like "sloppy" food - ie with sauces grrr! But will persevere and hope that if they are hungry enough they will eat!! At least they will eat most veg - no onion or leek though - and dd will only eat peas if still frozen!!
Will try for a plan later in the week! May need to as we're half way through the August GC too!Sealed Pot 617 - target £150 only managed £27 in 2009!0 -
This is my first attempt of meal planning!
Taken advice off this forum to do it and that it will help to keep our food bills down!
It's not a particularly healthy menu as we're trying to live out of our freezer/cupboards to run them down and start our shopping a fresh!
Here goes:
Tonight - Kiev and chips (OH turn to cook so had to be simple!)
Tuesday - Spicy sausage and tomatoe pasta with garlic bread
Wednesday - Spag bol
Thursday - I'm out so OH might have left over HM chicken biryani in freezer
Friday - Sausage pie with potatoes and veg
Saturday - Chips from chippy!
Sunday - out all day so may find a slow cooker recipe!
That will leave the following in our freezer to plan next few days:
12 home made burgers - maybe do a bbq!
Traditional Pork sausages
Beef and horseradish sausages
Ristorante pizza
Chicken fillets
Ravioli
1 portion of fish pie!
Wish us luck .... I only hope we stick to it!
Burp x0 -
Looks like meals are going to get a little tougher ... OH has just been made redundant
