Floor sanding - recommendations of companies in London

SHort version:
Does anyone have any recommendations of floor sanding companies who do North London? We have two rooms needing some repair, replacement, sanding etc. but are struggling to find good people for the job.
Many thanks.
Longer version:
We thought we'd done it right this time; had four sets of people round and so forth. Chose the best of them etc.
Cleared out two rooms and a hallway, squashing everything into a space but knowing that it was only temporary...
8.30 sanders expected. A text at 9.15 saying they were 15 mins away. 10.30 knock at door. Two guys in an unmarked, battered van introduce themselves (well, one does; the other says nothing) and I get an uneasy feeling about the veractiy of 'expert' in this company's name.
Within a couple of hours, I'm pretty much convinced we made a poor choice. Boards getting nailed in whereever they are - even when split and needing replacement. I had to pull the plug on the whole situation.
What a disaster!
So now I'm looking for another company. Any experience of good people?
Thanks.

Hi
I used to live in Enfield and had someone do my floors in 2005. I was very happy with his work. Don't know if he's still there but I can give you his details if you want. He's a one man band though - not a company. I think he works across north and west London.0 -
Please do - one man band's are what you want in this area, I think - or at least small outfits who don't contract out...
Thanks.0 -
Have PM'd you. Hope it helps.0
