Debit Card Use Charges

in Credit cards
I have just bought a railway ticket on-line from raileasy.co.uk (Ferries Trains Planes Ltd). They have sent me an email saying that I have paid £8 for the ticket - £5.50 + £2.50. But what they haven't included in the total is their additional Debit Card usage charge of £0.50.
Firstly, can they make a specific charge for debit/credit card usage?
Secondly, if they are, aren't they also obliged to include this processing fee in the final tally on the invoice?
They did not, as I recall, inform me that this £0.50p charge would be levied until I actually confirmed the purchase at the final checkout.
Cheers

Having not used that site I'm not sure when they tell you, but in future try using http://www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com/
Although it's the National express site you can buy for any train network and there are no charges for any cards. You can also choose to collect your tickets from a station of your choice or have them posted to you first class for free. (The added bonus is 10% off Nat.Exp. train tickets for buying online.0 -
Thanks for the tip.
Although, on principle, I'd like my questions answered, so if anyone out there knows what the true position is, I'd welcome a response.
Thank,
