what a fab, fab, fab place.
We took DD2 there for birthday treat today (15), along with DD3 (10) :bdaycake:
We all loved it! :j
Free entry, but they suggest a £1 pp donation - worth 5x that amount (more if you could afford it).
The re-furb is really good, and the new display layout's are really impressive.
There's a free RBS photo exhibition at the mo, can't remember the artist's name but he's very famous
, and this is absolutely brilliant, you'd definitely have seen some of the pics before.
Only 2 minor teensy criticism's 1) some of the text next to the displays is very childishly written 2) took us 15 mins to find the famous Salvador Dali pic, as it's located quite bizarrely in a corner off the main thoroughfare.
There are some amazing paintings in it (some very famous artists!), the ancient egypt was good, and the rennie Mckintosh was great.
We'd heard the cafe was megga expensive, but we each had a drink, 2 of us had a piece of fruit, DH had large slab of cake, and 1 had pkt of crisps and it came to £8 which for attraction prices, we thought was okay.
Well done Glasgow Council!!:T :T :T
Highly recommend anyone within 100 miles to go!
