energy saving bulbs and touch lamps

Hi everyone :cheesy:

I just bought a pair of touch lamps. Can they take energy saving bulbs? At the moment they work on 40W SES golf size bulbs.

Thanks.

If they are basic "On/Off" then the Energy saving ones should work.

but if it's a dimmer or have a "High/Low" light function then I think Energy saving bulbs won't work.

    Thanks.

It's got a 4 touch sensor whereby each time you touch the base the light increases and on the fourth touch it goes off.

Would an energy saving bulb still work?

No, normal energy saving bulbs will not work with a dimmer switch. You need special bulbs for them, and even they don't work with one of those touch lamps. I think I recall seeing an energy saving lightbulb that would work, but I can't remember where I'm afraid.
