in Techie Stuff
Well I have a hobby horse, Trojan.
and now I don't know what to do........I'm so not techie
:o
So to get you a clearer picture of pc and non pc panda
I must've opened a virus but it was hidden and I didn't suss it, or 1 of my boys. Anyway nows not the time to aportion blame........
A screen keeps coming up telling we have loads of virus' and it scrolls down and down with loads. I've tried, without luck, twice to restore using the F11 key, no joy. I put the pc on tonight and nothing......so I did the F11 and then it booted up and I had been advised to control panel restore but it wouldn't let me do that.
The avg programme I have on has now flagged up loads of virus' and it keeps doing it.
Son tried to start pc in safe mode, he doesn't know how and he has left me to it. My last option is to plead ignorance and hope a colleague will wipe it and then reinstall.

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
alternate download link 1
alternate download link 2- Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
- Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
- When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
- When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:
- Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
- Then click Finish.
- MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue.
- If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
- On the Scanner tab:
- Make sure the "Perform Quick Acan" option is selected.
- Then click on the Scan button.
- The next screen will ask you to select the drives to scan. Leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button.
- The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
- When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
- Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
- Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
- Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
- When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)
- The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
- Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.

This might apply to me too.
I have something wrong with pc. We are able to run on safe mode limited areas.
We are unable to access anything if we select anything other than safe mode.
If we select normaa it goes through the motions but then shuts down, nothing is able to send/recieve.
I too apologise for my limited PC knowledge but someone mentioned a driver being gone.....
Any solutions?0 -
I did as I was told with the instructions above and it most defiently has made a big difference.
I haven't gone any further at the moment as I'm now at work and on a different pc, also it was 'late' when the virus scan had finished (took about 45 mins) then the avg scan took half an hour.
I'm going to resume my techie stuff later on.
Thanks to Browntoa for brilliant help so far, thanks to Edilass too for being the go-betweenPanda xx

if you can get into safe mode then use system restore :-
Through the All Programs menu:
1.Click Start.
2.Point to All Programs.
3.Point to Accessories.
4.Point to System Tools.
5.Click System Restore.
6.Follow the instructions on the wizard.
