Anyone else having problems with virgin media?
My email account has had problems since 6pm yesterday I phoned the helpline to get an automated message saying it will be fixed Friday morning!!:confused:

    The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.

    Virgin Media's email will always have problems until they sack the single person who administrates it(and yes it is one person for the old blueyonder side). They are running their platform on a poorly setup exchange server that struggles with all the mailboxes. The deal with Google a few years ago fell through so they were meant to be moving all their email over to the NTL platform who also host AOL's, and the old virgin.net email already. When I was a customer I moved my email away from them as they were too unreliable.

    Its not on their status page so its not planned maintenance so more likely its a failed cluster. If it ever lasts around 16 hours then it was maintenance that they havent told you about.

    Yep have to admit the googlemail accounts are very good..even yahoo is an improvement...

    If you go to https://webmail.virgin.net/mail you can log on to your account in which you'll find an email from them saying there are problems with email. https://gps.virgin.net/service-announcements/status/?category=portal&app=status will show you the service status. Email has now gone from 'Serious fault or a service is down' to 'Service is running slowly, or has intermittent problems' although I still can't get into my account via Outlook.
