0% Finished on Natwest Credit Card

Hi all
I have recently transfer my balance from my Natwest credit card after its 0% ran out. I phoned to close the account but they are suggesting that in 4 to 6 weeks they will review my status and possibily offer a new deal at 0% for balance transfers.
My questions is whether this is all sales talk and rubbish or is it worth keeping the card open for a little while to see if there are any offers?
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks
Jim

There's probably some truth in this. Abbey offer new promotions to some customers when their 0% runs out. That can range from 0% for another six months, to 3.9%APR rate for a few months etc. Hang onto the NatWest card but if you hear nothing by October, bid them farewell.0

I assume you have transfered the balance to another CC with 0% interest.
If so, you don't need the Natwest CC. I say cancel it.Mortgage free

This is not the case if you have an Egg Money card

Hi Jim, my NWB Platinun 0% deal expired earlier this year and balance was paid off. Rang to cancel card. They offered a 7.9% life of balance deal. Said it wasn't worth it due to 0% with Abbey Zero that I'd been accepted for. Oh please keep the card Mr Iggy, we are always reviewing offers to customers and there will probably be a better one along very soon. So I did.
Three months later still nothing so card was promptly closed. You may be lucky and genuinely get a good repeat deal at some point .... but if you've got a deal elsewhere with the limits you want why hang onto it? Unless your CRA applications file is getting hammered a bit of late and you really need the available credit this card gives you? If not apply for another. Still plenty out there with good deals.....0 -

Thanks for your advice. I think I will close it as the only advantage I can see in keeping it open is the time saved in applying for a new card. I haven't really been applying much of late apart from mortgage applications. I guess this would affect my CRA and possibly make getting another card 6 months down the line tougher?
Thanks again
