Quick software4students question

I've just ordered Office Professional for my children from software4students. If I download and install the trial version from Microsoft in the meantime, will I simply be able to type in the product code to unlock it to the full version when my order arrives, or will I have to uninstall the trial version and install Office again from the disk?

Or try Open Office until MSoffice arrives. It will have full functionality out of the box, so to speak.0

Thanks for the reply. Whilst I don't disagree that it applies to Office, I wouldn't say it's a general rule to uninstall trial software. Most will unlock to the full version with a valid product registration key.S4S_Marketing_Manager wrote: »You need to uninstall any trial version of Office first.
The product key that comes with the software will only work with the official full version on the CD/DVD. If you don't uninstall the trial version first it's likely you'll run into problems.
As a general rule for installing any software, uninstall the trial first. It saves hassle in the long run.0 -
I'd be perfectly happy with Open Office or AbiWord myself, but it's MS Office I need to mirror what my children use at school. I realise that OO Beta 3 has Office 2007 compatiblity, but it's about being familiar with the MS software rather than compatibility. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.Or try Open Office until MSoffice arrives. It will have full functionality out of the box, so to speak.
