I have an LCD HD-Ready TV with built-in digibox for viewing all freeview channels.
I also have a VCR/DVD Recorder/Player which has an analogue tuner, so I can record [on either VCR tape or DVD disc] the 'terrestrial' channels only [BBC1 & 2, ITV, Channel 4, and a snowy Five], while watching another channel on the TV.
If I install a set top freeview 'digibox' between the aerial and the Recorder/Player, will I then be able to record freeview channels on VCR or DVD, also while watching another channel on TV?
Cheers
Ron

Yes, exactly, although you can buy freeview boxes with Hard drives in them now for (refurbished) £35 for a decent one (I've bought 2 of the smae model on ebay from different people, they're excellent
)
It saves a lot of time having to set up your freeview box to time the program, then setting the vcr recorder, with the recorder box it's just one touch.0 -
Many thanks samhale.
I have a need to be able to play [and possibly sometimes record to] videotapes, so the PVR route is not realistic, though very tempting.
You wouldn't know exactly how I should connect - just the usual Scart?0
