Recording digital broadcasts

Options
I have an LCD HD-Ready TV with built-in digibox for viewing all freeview channels.
I also have a VCR/DVD Recorder/Player which has an analogue tuner, so I can record [on either VCR tape or DVD disc] the 'terrestrial' channels only [BBC1 & 2, ITV, Channel 4, and a snowy Five], while watching another channel on the TV.
If I install a set top freeview 'digibox' between the aerial and the Recorder/Player, will I then be able to record freeview channels on VCR or DVD, also while watching another channel on TV?

Cheers
Ron

Yes, but it will be fiddly, you'll have to set two boxes each time and the quality is likely to suffer. For £100 you can get a PVR - simple to programme from the EPG and decent quality recordings (limited by the distinctly average picture quality available on Freeview). Get a twin tuner one and you can record two programmes at the same time and watch a third if you are a true telly addict. They usually allow you to do things like chase-play (start watching a recording before it has finished) and record the programme description from the EPG for when you're looking through weeks later.
