we currently have an EGG on-line savings account. It only pays 4.75% interest, so we are thinking of moving to one or more of the recommended accounts paying over 6.0%. The Egg account is very flexible: payment can be made from it to any account on registering the sort code and account number ( ie not only to the nominated account). Similarly, payment can be made directly into the EGG account from another on-line account (again not only the nominated account). But, all the savings account I have looked at (Saga Top 5 tracker, Icesave and Kaupthing) seem to require that all payments, in and out, go through the nominated account.

Does anyone know of an on-line account, paying over 6%, that is as flexible in operation as the EGG account?

Try the internet saver from Tesco. 6.25% and able to make Faster Payments as well as receive them

EGG have a 6.30% savings account, unless it's been recently pulled. I opened it alongside the 4.75% acc a few months ago.

Just checked and it's in a huge display box right on the front page
