£350 free or give it back?
Scot Gas sent me a cheque for £350 - no bill, no letter, no explanation just a cheque.
Do I have rights to keep it once cashed?
I am not a customer with them. I was - but closed accounts over 12 months ago.
Can I keep it legally or do I have to give it back?
cheers - neppie!

You can't keep it if they sent it by mistake and ask for it back. Until then you can "look after it".
Maybe it's a refund for overpayments you made when you were a customer?0 -

You could always put it into a savings account. If they have made a mistake and ask for it back you can give it them back and keep any interest you make on it
