Well they are for my toddler so I thought they might need something. Does this mean that you don't have any probs with the duvet hanging out of the cover in the middle of the night:rotfl:?
No, never . My covers are stitched along each corner for about 10 inches. I bought them a good few years ago, maybe they've stopped stitching them now?

No the covers are still partly stitched together at the duvet end - there is a large gap for shoving it in so sounds the same as yours. I think I will monitor for duvet leak before taking the plunge with the velcro or press studs.
Velcro is very hard to sew on by hand. I don't think the stick on one would last long in the wash. The easiest option would be to sew on short lengths of ribbon and tie in a double bow.
