Well they are for my toddler so I thought they might need something. Does this mean that you don't have any probs with the duvet hanging out of the cover in the middle of the night:rotfl:?
No, never :) . My covers are stitched along each corner for about 10 inches. I bought them a good few years ago, maybe they've stopped stitching them now?

No the covers are still partly stitched together at the duvet end - there is a large gap for shoving it in so sounds the same as yours. I think I will monitor for duvet leak before taking the plunge with the velcro or press studs.

thanks for all your comments and ideas.:T

Also, Dunelm Mill sells press studs by the metre, ie already sewn into the tape, you just sew the tape to the duvet cover ... just a thought :)

You can also buy stick on velcro - so no sewing needed at all!

Velcro is very hard to sew on by hand. I don't think the stick on one would last long in the wash. The easiest option would be to sew on short lengths of ribbon and tie in a double bow.
