  • I will give you this tale as a warning. We were in Palma last week as a mini break and I used my switch card, the next day I got a call from the RBS to tell me that someone from russia had tired to get and 1000, 500 and 500 from my account within an hour of me using a minibank and it was Barclays!!!
    We as a rule carry 750 euro [1000 if the kids are with us] and 300 sterling as most places abroad dont charge commission. If you have to get money please go into the bank.

    looking at it more closely there was a big difference in rates.

    TTT Moneycorp Ltd 1.19 £3 commission.
    Natwest's charges were approx £11 on each €300 but rate was 1.26/1.27
