I havn't worked out how to insert a picture into a post yet but if the original picture is an oblong and the required picture size is a square, you would obviously have to crop the image to square proportions before doing a Resize/resample. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Need to upload an Image?
So whilst you are composing a reply in advanced mode
You will see some Icons if you “mouse over” these one will
Say “Insert Image” now that’s where the Image hyperlink will go
(In the Box that Appears).
Example, Go to https://www.google.co.uk and do an Image search for “Cats”
next you will see a load of pictures that appear now click on any picture
(not more than 650pixels wide) and you will see up the top a piece of
Blue text saying See Full Size Image, Now click that text and you will see
the picture only, now right click the Link in the Address Bar and choose copy
now go and reply to a message in any MSE forum and when doing so choose
“Go Advanced” type out any message and then click the mouse cursor
in an appropriate place then click on the “Insert Image” Icon and now right click
the mouse in the Box that appears and choose Paste.
Now you will see the copied hyperlink look like this
theare called image Tags this allows you to directly link an image
from one website to another, the only major problem with this is that if the website
goes down from where you got the image hyperlink, your image wont show in a forum
as this is now a “Broken Link”.
Better Option…..
First off go to https://www.photobucket.com and sign up for an account its free
now do the same as before and “google” for a picture, once you have found a
picture by clicking on “See Full Size Image” just right click the image and choose
“Save Picture As” now give it any name you like and save it to your PC in the
“My Documents” or “My Pictures” Folder…now click “save”….
You have now saved the Picture to your PC.
Now go to your Photobucket account and sign in now click on “Browse” and locate
the picture you just saved, Now click on “Open” then “Submit” this will then upload
the image to your Photobucket account, Now click the left hand mouse button until
the Img text is highlighted Blue, now right hand click the Img tag
and click copy, now got to any forum and this time you don’t have to click on
any Icons or go Advanced just right hand click the mouse and choose Paste
now submit the message to see the picture appear.
Unless you delete the Photobucket account your picture wont disappear….0 -
