I recently received the following email from Nursing Times saying that they are running a "Golden Ticket" promotion:

"Are you a currently studying for a nursing degree or diploma? If so,
have you taken advantage of Nursing Times? fantastic Golden Ticket
offer?

For a total cost of just £4, you can subscribe to Nursing Times for
a whole year, and get your own copy delivered direct to your door
each week.

For just 8p per week, Nursing Times will bring you:

- All the latest nursing news and research
- Clinical developments and the most up-to-date treatments
- Breakthroughs in patient care
- Step-by-step advice on practical skills

This offer is just too good to miss! But hurry, we only have a
limited number of Golden Ticket subscriptions available.

For your Golden Ticket application form, simply email your name,
postal address and current year of study to NTmarketing@emap.com.

Please note - You must be a student nurse to take advantage of this

Hope this is useful for some of you!! I've been qualified for 4 years now so can't take up the offer!!

I've been getting both for years and I think Nursing Standard is the best, but if you're getting NT for £2 a year then why not get that too!!

How come my daughters first nursing standard has arrived and it says £1.20 on the front. How many of these do they do a year? Coz 12 x £1.20 = £14.40 So why are they saying on the subscription link that its from £4.30 - £3.30 per month? it doesnt make sense.

I dont know how shes got the standard as I didn't have time to give her the discount link but she posted the times one off for £4 a year although she hasnt recieved it yet

Even with the discount link its £2 per month = £24 per year so why if its £1.20 per month? is it because of postage or something?

    Edit:

It's a complimentary copy probably sent because she joined the RCN and it's offering the subscription costs stated above.

Is it normal for the Nursing times to take a while to send out the first copy as she sent that golden ticket direct debit mandate about 5-6 weeks ago
    Thanx
