Help needed re studies

My son is at Solent and needs to redo an assignment but would like some help it, it is Computer maths "Matrix" ? He also says that a computer engineer would be able to help as well, I am so worried as he has worked so hard at Uni but just needs some extra help. The tutor who teaches him says that he can't help as that would be an advantage for him and not for the other students.

Thanks in advance from a very worried parent.

    Erm, library/lecture notes...?

If he's worked so hard then why can't he do the assignment?

Bit harsh, although I find it a little strange that a university student is getting his mum to find him a tutor. Shouldn't he be finding his own resources at this level?

Of course he should! Getting advice from here seems to me to be just as unfair to other student.

it's impossible to give any help with such a vague description of the topic. if his tutor won't give any extra help, that means that everything he needs to know will have been covered in his lectures/tutorials, so that is the best place to start.

his tutor may also be able to help on a specific query, such as asking if your son's understanding of a rule is correct, but they won't be able to go through how to get the answer as that would, rightly, be very unfair.
