Which Credit Reference Agency?

How can I find out which Credit Reference Agency my bank uses for my credit card?

I have requested this from my bank and they say 'Don't know!' which sounds absolutly pathetic.

I am with the Bank of Scotland.

Bank Of Scotland/Halifax only search Experian. But if they do the same for their current accounts they report to all 3
  • Hi cifpower,

    Thanks for a quick response

I am trying to claim back charges and avoid going for the wrong credit reference agency and having to got through the process again.

I have applied in an awkward way rather than the MSE way and have been offered £250 but the total including interest is £400+ so it looks like I have to go through from the start - the MSE, tried and tested way.

Any idea how long the process takes? ie from requesting credit reference to settlement.
