Survived OR meeting but !!!!

 Hi guys

My OR interveiw on monday went really well, my car wasnt an issue on HP and we may get to keep the house subject to a valuation.
My interview lasted 29 mins, they said i would have to wait for a figure for my monthly payment if there was going to be one at all?

So just as i thought everything was going to be ok my phone rings and its the car finance company , she said that they had been notified of my BR and they were coming to pick the car up, before i could even string to words together she started raving down the phone to me saying i should never have had the car if i knew i was going BR!! i was fuming. She then said the car would be picked up by her people in 48 hrs and then put the phone down on me.

I rang her back about 10 mins after and asked her if she was not going to shout and if we could have a normall conversation, again she said the car will be picked up in 48hrs by her people and put the phone down on me.

I was fuming!!!
Does she think that because im a BR she can speak to me like pooooooo!!
I dont think so!!

So people check your HP agreements, i know most of you will but if your like me useless in the paper work field then have a look.
Still waiting for her people to turn up!!

I'm sorry to hear that Topdraw - its hard enough going bankrupt without someone judging you in this way isn't it? Lets hope she never has to go BR otherwise she may be on the receiving end of someone like herself :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi TD,

Park the car the other side of town and when they come to collect give them the keys and tell them you can't remember where you left it..

    Ha like that, nice one.
  • ..and leave the lights on so the batteries flat.

There was no need to speak to you in such a way. I think a firmly worded letter to head office should be the next thing on your 'to do' list

Ensure the car is empty of everything this evening (or in the morning) as a priority. Some companies have been now to just lift the car onto a car carrier thing and not asking for the keys etc. And syphon out the petrol. You paid for it, and at these prices I am sure a relative/neighbour would be grateful!

Of course, a few pilchards under the carpet would be a really mean thing to do.....

  • The immediate satisfaction of minor sabotage may seem like it's worth it at the time, but be warned they may bite you back. E.g. maybe a search fee for car, car value less than it should be because of damage to battery and poor condition (prawns!) then that's less off the total HP that is outstanding.
Seriously, just empty the petrol and give the keys back, it's not worth the repercussions.

Spilling a pint of milk works wonders and lasts forever.Consider removing a few bits ie fuses leads etc
