Have done a search but can only find one thread and I tried what they suggested and it didn't help! (making quidco a 'safe' site)
Since we upgraded to internet security suite lots of my quidco sites are bringing up the alert may not track message (never had a prob with the old version). Made some adjustments in internet options as recommended by QCo but can't find cookies etc on the McAfee window to turn them off.
Any simple advice? (words of one syllable around technical stuff please)

One of the best security suites out there, especially the anti-virus.

Thanks for your comments guys but we have only just paid for the mcafee so will probably keep it until it expires then look at maybe eset - was wary about some of the free stuff as it seemed it could upset things and you needed to know what you were doing to get back to normal
So back to my problem with mcafee securty suite - apart from unloading it how can I accept cookies etc so I can use quidco
    Many thanks

False economy. If you use free alternatives now, exactly what have you lost? Don't shoot your own foot by thinking you have some sort of financial obligation to "use" the McAfee subscription. Cut your losses now. If you were offered a house twice as good as yours for free would you turn it down because you'd already paid for your current house?
    You have two choices:
    1.use an inferior awful product
2.use something much better, more effective and that will potentially last you much longer

and there's not a single change to your current finances by choosing either of those. Since absolutely everything else (even economically) is equal why would you logically choose number 1.?

Apart from the fact that Eset isn't free, you'd have to pay again ;)
  • I had this problem before and was given this advice:

    Close all browsers.

    1. open McAfee Security center
    2. Select Protecion Status
    3. Select Internet & Network
    4. Select Configure
    5. Expand web browsing protection
    6. click the Advanced button
    7. uncheck all 3 boxes and click on apply.

Now open your browser and on the Tools button at the top right drop down list, make sure pop-up blocking is switched off.

Remember to put your McAfee back the way it was or click on 'Fix' the next time you get a message telling you your computer is not fully protected.

I successfully used this but not quite sure what the point of having the high security is, if you have to turn it off!!! We now have a lower priced version of McAfee and no longer have to do this - all very strange!!!

    Hope this helps.
