I recently got a wii but I cannot for the life of me get the damn thing working.
My tv is quite an old tv and no longer have the remote so I got a new remote yesterday so I could locate the 'AV' channel and I still can't get it going. I'm falling at the bit after connecting it up and there's supposed to be some set up screen that appears? I get nada!
Any ideas? Apart from grabbing a child to do it for me?

so can you manualally tune the tv to find the wii0

I don't think so - should I go buy a remote that allows me to tune too?0

you might have a problem then depending on the tele . Imagane you have moved house you would need to retune the tele for the new transmiter . is there not any pannels on the main tc which lift up which might give acces to channel and volume type of thing . if there is try differnt combinations of the controll and see if you can tune that way .there might be a button marked av even ,they are all differnt0

I finally managed to crack it after resorting to more unplugging/replugging :rotfl:
