credit cards & paypal

i currently use my debit card to fund & withdraw funds from paypal. if i was to add my credit card details to it, if i was to withdraw money TO the credit card from paypal, would this act the same as going into my bank and paying the amount off or would i still have to do that?

i'm a CC noob.

Thanks

It wouldnt count as your monthly payment unless the amount you were moving from paypay brought your balance down to zero, works in same way as a refund from a merchant

    fair enough, that'll do me.

another question, can pay off my CC with a debit card (the paypal pre-paid debit card) or does it have to be cheque or cash?

  • I would have thought so, do you pay it in bank/post office or by post? (how do you load it?)
If you paid at a bank or post office using the debit card would probably count as a cash payment. But I'd go ask in bank/post office to be sure!

sorry to bounce this back up, but [STUPID QUESTION ALERT] i have a steady stream of low amounts of money (£40 a month max) into paypal. if, once a month, i start drip feeding money into my credit card, aswell as the payments over the counter, it will work together in bringing my balance to zero?

    i.e. £245 balance on CC
£10 a month (min) via paypal
£10 a month (min) over the counter

will take 12 months to clear (minus interest), as opposed to 24 months (plus extra for interest.
