New sofa

Hi.
First posting on this great site!
I was going to start a new thread to tell people about the great deal we got on 2 M&s sofas in Deeside recently, but then found this thread.
Bought 2 2-seater Abbey sofas for £420 each !! We were going to go for the popular dark brown colour - which were going for £700, but then were told about the Cheshnut ones for £420 and decided the colour looked absolutely fine!
As far as I can tell, these sofas retail at about 1299 in the M&S stores. They are perfects as well, not seconds.
Also picked up a Terence Conran Red velvet Love sofa which was put aside for scrap as it has a rip in the back -got it for 50 quid and think I can easily repair it!
Definitely worth a visit if you live in the North West and are after a decent quality sofa.0 -
We got some 'cost effective' sofas from Argos. Didn't want to buy posh as knew they would get icked up by the children. They were cheap enough to buy twice.Nuts just take up space where chocolate ought to be.0

Cheers for this. I have some friends who got some good sofas from Argos. Always been a bit worried about not being able to sit on them before I buy them though. Some sofas can look dead comfy, but can be a real pain in the butt...

Glad you found something so good
Just a shame they're so far away from me..........had to pay full price (nearly) at DFS in the end0 -
If you have to buy more than one sofa for example to do the whole house it is 30-40% cheaper in france/italy or Poland. if you have the time and inclination get it from China for about 20% of the price here and same quality(since most of the furniture is made there anyways) and also have aholiday in the bargain.0
