Travel Insurance Existing Medical Conditions

Hi
I am about to go on my hols to the good old US of A. I have an annual travel insurance policy but my daughter has just fractured her wrist. I was told I needed to declare this to the airline and they were ok. I also informed my insurers who forwarded me to a medical screening company. They want me to pay another £155 to cover my daughters fracture. I thought this a little exorbitant. Any of you savvy people have any ideas where I might be able to get it cheaper?
