I don't tend to bother selling clothes as they don't fetch much and it's too much effort. I do sell my old bags though, made £96 on Sunday. :cool:0

The idea that anything will sell has long gone, consumers generally are much more savvy about where they spend their money.
It is of course also ebays express intention to move away from the small sellers flogging off unwanted items and to a much more corporate venue with large names running virtual shopping malls. Just look at the problems we smaller sellers face with paypal required on items that are collected..a nightmare!

Thanks everyone!!
Any suggestions where to sell gold jewellery - not exactly Tiffany's stuff but don't think I'd get offered much if I took it to a jewellers or pawnshop...
Really appreciating all the good advice x0 -

You could sell it for scrap gold - I have never sold jewellery on ebay. If it isn't new people aren't interested. At a car boot you might flog it but you will get next to nothing for it.Lydia

How is LydiaSophia wrong? Her post is in response to a question specifically about jewellery and is not the same as your experience of selling a dress and a toy. Different things sell in different fashions on ebay, quirky clothes can do very well where as jewellery is sometimes very hard to shift .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
