hi folks,
hope someone can help as i have just bought a second hand thomson dsi8215 hd box on ebay.
i just plugged it in and checked that is was all working ok and i pluged both satelite leads into the back of the box, as i had sky + in the past, and on the singal test page it says that input 1 is fine but the second input 2 is at zero and nothing is being detected from the second input no 2.
i have not registered yet with sky+ for the recording facitlty to be switched on and i am also not subsribed with sky yet and only have the freesat channels.
is this normal and does the second input be detacted ok when i do joinn and and have my sy+ activeted, will this input be detacted then?
the reason i am asking is becasue i can see the small screw in screw taht connects the end of cable input 2, to the sky box, is very loose and looks to be in poor condition??
i am very sorry for troubleing anyone but i just want to be sure everything is fine and if there is sopmthing wrong and maybe not working coirrectly such as input no2.
thanks for any help anyone can give me,

I believe so. Without the sky+ sub, you can't record anything, so the second feed would be useless anyway. Not certain, though.0 -
