Laptop Screen please help

Hi guys i have a Packard Bell laptop and i think it has a 15" screen well one of the !!!!!! dogs has stepped on the case of the laptop while i was at work today and when i have come home to use it i now have cracks running thorugh the screen like broken glass.

Does anyone know how much PC world would charge to get a new screen on my laptop or do they have any cheaper alternatives as i have only had my lap top 4 or 5 months

Did a dog really do that? You need to stop feeding them lard :)

Any chance you could 'blag' it on your house insurance (assuming you have some) and assuming I won't get my as* banned for suggesting this!!

Its my mate's house and unfortunatley the dog in question was a Rotweiler andit weighs over 8 stone! lol

trying to find out a rough price in how much its gonna cost them so to see if its worth going through the dog insurance or just paying cash to get it fixed its a 14 or 15" screen

last time I asked (Novatech) it was going to cost £300 to replace a faulty screen on an 18 month old laptop which had only cost £400 and that was just the screen not the case.

It's probably a write off - but salvage the hard drive (buy a usb enclosure) the power supply and the memory (if its soDimm)

Not that bad actually as when you get a replacement screen fitting instructions come
with it, the most important thing is not to nick, tear, squash the ribbon cable...
