Any one made thier own Egypt Hol?

Me and OH are looking to go to Luxor next feb. We are in Belfast but can go to Dublin easily (we flew from there last time). Problem is doesn't seem to be flights from here in off season, or at least not cheap. Gatwick or Manchester seems the best alternatives.
Has anyone bought flights and hotels themselves?
Or can anyone recomend a cheapish travel agent.
Budget £400 each absolute max unless AI with good food!

Thanks

How long do you want to go for Phoolgrrrl?
I booked myself for me and my sister next march for a fortnight.
Its cost us just over £500 each for flight, hotels plus internal flights!

  • Try the web site www.luxortraveltips.com
In the holiday section (click holidays in the menu along the top) there is a page (I think it is called 'flights only') that lists airports from which you can fly to Luxor. It covers English airports: not sure about Ireland, though. There are also links to airline companies, hotel brokers and so on. We used hostelbookers for low cost no-frills accommodation and alpharooms for tourist type hotels, but there are lots of other links on the site.
It is best to book trips within Luxor when you get there, not before you go. The local agents can book you balloon flights for around £28 each and Nile cruises, 5* full board, for around £35 per night.
  • You can also book package holidays very easily through the holiday section on luxortraveltips.com, although the site is mostly information and advice. Certainly worth a look even if you have already booked.

Try this website https://www.otbeach.com they seem to have some pretty good deals.
Also look on tripadviser for information on hotels, excursions etc.
