Students on Placement

Hello,

I have recently started a placement and can finally begin saving up cash to eventually pay off my student loan (only when I have to obviously).

So.. seeing as I now have a regular income, I thought it would be best to apply for a credit card to protect me when purchasing online etc. I'm also thinking of switching to the Halifax student current account and moving the savings I already have to an ISA.

What accounts are best for my position? Seeing as although I'm currently on an annual salary, in October next year I will be studying in my final year (unemployed). So.. this is what I have concluded as far:

1. Student Account - Halifax
2. ISA - Barclays Tax Haven
3. Credit Card - ?

Any help will be much appreciated!
