My blades are worn on my T Reg Nissan Almera GX, does anyone know if the cheapo blades from the pound shops will fit my car? If not, where's the cheapest place to get them please?

Thanks very much.

  • I got some cheapie wiper blades in Tesco. £4 I think. Not sure if they will fit your car but if you are in Tesco it may be worth a look.

Find your local motor factor and you'll never go to Halfords again. I got mine from there and they were £2.50 each.

    New oil filter £1.69

I have an Almera 96 and I have tried the cheap blades. They are a waste of money and barely work for more than one month. Even after cleaning them they leave marks. So I went to Sweedish and German and got 2 Bocshe wipers (you will need 19" and 21") for £4 each and they are now in to the second year without aproblem.

    I totally agree !!!!
  • Yup.

Bosch blades are fitted as standard to Hyundais. I've had 2 years and counting out of the replacements on my car. The rear one I thought I'd save money on and bought a £2.50 cheapie from a discount DIY place in town; a year later and it's squeaking again. Not impressed.

This may sound an unusual place to go for wiper blades but go and have a look in Wilkinsons, they are selling them at £1.29 each. Used to be £2.99 for a pair and now they probably realise that some cars use a different size one for the passenger's side from the driver's side.
