    Hi Daisy.

I think that Martin's guide on savings may be of help
  • The best bank for consistent interest rates and good quality service is the Yorkshire BS and its subsidary barnsley.

    I recommend the ;-

Yorkshire BS Cash Transactor account,(0.05%) even though it is not a proper savings account and more like a pseudo basic bank account. It enables me to manage my money without unnecessary charges and your income being eaten up by Current Account providers. I have my income paid into the account. You can choose a passbook or a Link Card to service the account. I have the passbook. Then I use it to transfer the money to my Bank Current Account.

Barnsley BS Online Saver - (2.50%)

Yorkshire BS Internet Saver (2.50%) with a choice of a LINK CARD.

Consider Natwest or RBS or Halifax Regular Saver at 5% AER.

Who pointlessly reactivated this 5yr old thread? Time for another plea to MSE Towers to block old threads.

Got my hopes of a rate increase up, but it is still 2.08% or 2.10%
