Skype over BT Broadband

Anybody come across this problem before?
I've got a 2Gb broadband connection with BT using microfilters over a voice line. I down loaded Skype last night and all seemed great. However, today, people have been calling on my mobile to say that they are getting a number of problems trying to call my landline (either it rings once and then goes silent; the busy line tone comes on; the get callminder straight away; etc.).
The problem finally rectified itself today at around 5pm. That's some 17 hours since I first tried Skype.
I've tried narrowing down the cause now and have found that I can call out whilst Skype is running but the problems come back for anyone trying to call the land line. Once again, although I can call out, I'm without incoming calls on my landline even though I've now logged off and disconnected from Skype and have also cold booted the computer.
I'll contact BT and/or Skype if necessary but as most will appreciate you can ofter get a quicker answer via MSE.

I don't think skype is an issue in this problem. I think you have a problem with your microfilter? Do you have a spare one? Try another, they are only a couple of pounds.0

I don't think there is anything wrong with the microfilter as it is in constant use splitting the landline and the broadband line. Could it still offer a problem even if it was performing like this?0
