troubles with a lcd tv

hi
i hope someone might be able to offer some advice.
we recently brought a Toshiba 37wlt68 from bestpricetrading through ebay.
we got it as a bargain at 360 pity it only lasted an hour before lines came vertically over the whole screen. they have said that they do not have another of that model to replace ours and have offered a toshiba 37a3030. the problem is this is an inferior tv then the one we have although is selling for more on their site £430.
what i would like to know does the replacement have to be of a similar spec or price??
thanks for the help
ian

I believe they have to refund, give you an item to the same or greater value, or a lesser value and refund the difference.
