Sky TV - channels not working

Some channels that I used to have access to like Dave, History and UK Gold now come up saying there is a technical problem with them and to try later - however Dave +1 History + 1 and UK Gold +1 all work Ok - the number of channels with "technical problems" seem to be increasing as time goes by - anyone any thoughts as to why - I have not changed any subscription packages.

  • We had that last week. Turn off your sky box and then unplug it from the mains for 20 seconds.

    When you plug it back in it will take a few minutes to start up but should be fine after that. Ours is fine now.

    5 mins will do the trick.. probably even 30 seconds... it just needs to be unplugged and plugged back in....

    yes, well to be perfectly honest, it should be the first point of call, not an internet forum...

    c'mon.. how many times have you heard.. turn it off and on again... it is so simple!

  • would have done it automatically last year when I was working in IT - tend to forget after a time out - put it down to a senior moment !!!!!!!!

    lol.... yeah.. i work in IT now.. i get calls with issues, and i an notorious at interrupting, asking if it has been turned off and on again, and if it is a no.. i say, try that and call me back if there are any further issues..

    most of the time, i don't get another call...

    I am having a similar problem, tried switching off and on again, they say I need an engineer £65! I said no ta I will cancel. any other ideas? they think its a cable problem.

    well today I downgraded my package as they refused to give me a free service call as apparently it became a really popular request thanks to a certain website! LOL! :rolleyes: I cant get most of the sports or movie channels so i down graded so its done me a favour in a way! LOL!
