removing oil from tarmac

had a bad oil leak on my old car which has left a nice large patch on my drive.
any ideas how to soak this out of the tarmac thanx.

    Some builders sand.

    Sprinkle it over the patch and brush it back and forth. Just keep doing that over the next few days and it should fade away.

    If it is really wet with oil now then change the sand a couple of times.

    I'm not sure if it works on tarmac, but cat litter seems to work on most things ....

    we tried cat litter, sand and even some special degreaser. The oil had actually eaten into the tarmac and nothing seemed to move it. Eventually we got it recovered but this started to break up so we ended up having it block paved. Hope you dont end up having to go this far! We had a very old car that was the cause of all of this!
