I think they are better than the Sky+ box since they can record two TV channels and watch a third, which you can only record one and watch one on sky.
Dunno about any other factors though.0 -
They're very good. As vivi says you can record two things while watching a third so you're going to be really unlucky to miss anything. You can do all the pausing and rewinding of live telly as well of course. They also have HD so there are no extra costs for that, although Virgin don't have much HD content yet.
We've had one since it was launched as the TVDrive and wouldn't be without it now. It's my problem, it's my problem

Ive got one and its good, you only get 100 hours i think of stuff you can record so you would have to delete stuff, only thing im nt keen on is the recordings you do the ads arent removed so you need to fast forward the ads but saying that its ok,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Recording time is 80 hours normal or 40 hours High Def I think. Unless it's changed on the more recent boxes. It's my problem, it's my problem

I know that with Sky+ boxes you can buy certain PC hard drives and just stick them in, giving you much larger storage. It couldn't be any hard drive though, had to be one of a few certain models.0

Just remember to push them for as much as possible! I've no experience with it, but I know that many users here have been able to blag half-price boxes/installation or more when they want to upgrade. Have a check around on the forums before you make the call0

Might be worth callign them and saying you want to cancel and then see if they offer you V+ cheap.
Although you could presumably upgrade the disc in a V+ box you shouldn't really as you don't own it. It's rented from Virgin unlike the Sky boxes which you have to buy. It's my problem, it's my problem
