Hi Everyone,
Just received my paypal visa top up card. I already have a cashplus card but the paypal one seems better. Firstly it is a visa card, secondly it is free to use apart from atm withdrawals and finally it is free to top up from a paypal account. Seems good to me. Any thoughts on this?
Phil

Hi Phil,
If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take to arrive? We applied yesterday and are hoping to have it up and running in time for holiday on 22nd.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

If your paypal account is set to direct debit, does this mean that topping up online via paypal goes direct to your bank? Is there a fee for this?0

How much does it cost to set up?0 -
the card is £4.95 the only other charges are for atm withdrawal and topping up by anything other than paypal. I believe it is the best value prepaid card and having the advantage of being visa. Mine took about 4days to arrive.

My OH was looking at this one. Only problem seemed to be that it can't be used at 'pay at pump' fuel pumps which was the main reason he wanted it. Sorry to hijack your thread but is this fairly standard for the prepaid cards? Apart from that it sounded great.0

Always worth looking at the terms and conditions. They seem a bit restrictive to me. This is 2h.
h)The Card can be used at most establishments that accept Visa cards. However, you are not permitted to use the Card for any illegal purposes and there are also some other restrictions on the use of the Card (for instance, you are not permitted to use the Card at car rental agencies or hotels, or to pay for certain types of transactions including mail order or magazine subscriptions, or to pay for fuel obtained from automated fuel dispensers, or to pay for gambling transactions). We won’t be liable if any establishment refuses to let you pay with the Card, save for any direct loss you may suffer which is caused by our fault.0 -

Does it say Visa Debit on it or "for electronic use only"? Are the number raised?
Just wondered what type of card they are issuing, I finally got accepted for one so it is on its way.
Cheers
