hi there
is it possible to plug a wireless headphones in to the tv, and also have the sound still coming through the tv as well as the headset,
the reasons my nan likes the tv loud as she is deaf , and it is to loud for my grandad so he wants to put on some headphones where he can control how loud the sound is through them , and me nan can still have it loud for her, many thanks

Can't help with the answer, but wouldn't it be better to give your nan the headphones, since if your granddad is wearing the headphones, he'll still probably be able to hear the booming TV, plus if its loud it could annoy the neighbours.0 -
New batteries? :-)
You can't do what you want as plugging in headphones automatically cuts the speakers.
You could get a (second) digi-box & run headphones from that, although it will be out of may be out of sync with terrestrial broadcasts & may be with a second digi-box - should be ok if you get 2 identical boxes.
From the point of view of the neighbours shouldn't she have the headphones?
Alternativly how about turning on the subtitles?0 -
Agree with what the others say - it makes more sense for the "louder" of the pair to wear the headphones...And the outcome you're looking for *is* certainly possible...but I can't think of a way to do it "cheaply" and I guess it depends on the connectivity options of the sets in quetsion...In my head, I'm imagining one or two amplifiers - one connected to speakers, one connected to headphones, both connected to the digibox or tv...But it might be possible to do it with one...Could also, maybe, do something using the VCR (if they have one) to split the sound off pre-tv into the headphones...but in order to change the volume you'll need some kind of amp...0
