When I saw the thread title I thought "not another spam warning" but I have to say this is pretty original and funny. Almost genius in it's poetic irony. A scam pretending to offer compensation because of the known Nigerian scammers. Just brilliant!! Definitely spam taken to another level. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Not anywhere that'd make the slightest difference. The only long term way to defeat spam is to simply not fall for it or buy products from the spam. If it wasn't for that small percentage of [insert your own description here] people who actually hand over money to spammers and scammers they wouldn't do it. It's actually very profitable for them.
Personally I give a unique email address to each company and dump any address that attracts spam. On my domain (myname.co.uk) I've got about 300-400 email addresses (e.g. amazon@mydomain.co.uk). If I get spam I know who passed on my address. At present on all those addresses I get zero spam. Best thing is just have a smart strategy and plenty of redundancy."She is quite the oddball.
