We always spend it on shopping, Martins advice doesn't work when none of the deals are of any use and food serves a purpose.

You might want to have a look on eBay. They appear to sell for double their value.

I thought selling them over ebay was against the terms and conditions. Whether or not you did it before or after converting them to deals vouchers.
I think deals vouchers are now being issued in the name of the clubcard holder though, in an effort to counteract this anyway.
I also thought that alledgedly someone from tesco was monitoring people selling clubcard vouchers over ebay.

I may be wrong on all that though!!

I personally use mine for Nationwide Autocentres, so I can get free MOTs and free servicing for my car. I've also used it for ferry crossings - Holland and Ireland.

I agree it can be dificult to find "deals" that are worth having though, so I can see why some people just use it for money off their shopping! Before I had a car, I used to do just that!
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)

The coupons that come with the vouchers seem to be different for everyone - mine are never the same as my friend's and she says even her husband has coupons for totally different products quite unlike hers!
This last year I have used my vouchers to buy several magazines as presents and paid more than half a ferry fare to Ireland- well worth saving.
Don't forget if you sign up for the Tesco foodclub you get bonus points for starters and extra coupons. So far I have had 25 points x 2 as a thank you for being in the food club. Can't be bad

I always used to spend my clubcard points on shopping, but this past year we've been to Chessington, Legoland, and have £50 to spend at Caffe Uno. As a family of four this is a great saving for us, and gives us free stuff to do during the school holidays.
  • I have used them for day trips mainly, treating us to somewhere we wouldnt usually go, or somewhere that is expensive, off to longleat with them tomorrow!

This time im saving them for the xmas shop

Mine weren't very good. Earned £21 but all of my vouchers are for like 25p of something and not points. Whereas 25 points would be £1 in deals. Think they have cottoned on!
  • I have been cashing mine in for Cafe Rouge vouchers and as family and friends birthdays have cropped up, I have taken the person out for dinner.

I go up to the till to pay so all it costs me is a couple of drinks and they don't know I have used a voucher.

Result - friends and family happy and my bank is even happier!!

I end up using my vouchers for food (usually try and save them up for Xmas) but as I am on a VERY limited income I usually only get about £2 - £3 every time. Most of the deals aren't suitable to my circumstances, so I don't have any other option than to spend it in store.

I have a query about the money off/extra points coupons that are usually attached as well. Can these be traded/used in any other way at Tesco as I either end up forgetting about them until after the use by date or don't want to purchase the items they are for.

I got mine yesterday. We are saving up for the Merlin passes and should finally have enough with Novembers mailing - Thorpe Park, Chessington and Legoland areall really close to us and London is only 40 mintes on the train so we will get loads of use out of them.

Last year we went to Disneyland Paris on Clubcard vouchers just before the offer ended (saved for over 5 years mind you, sending back vouchers to be reissued as they got near to the expiry date). This year they have paid for our Eurotunnel crossing for a short break in France.

For those that like to keep their vouchers for Christmas clubcard have introduced a Christmas Club where they will save them for you and send them all out in the November mailing.
