Should I switch to British Gas???

Hi,

I am currently using Scottish Power as my electricity provider.
I just checked a few price comparison websites and it turns out that I would save around £200 a year if I switched to British Gas - Energy 5.
British Gas seems to offer the best deal in terms of money saving for my 8772 annual kWh consumption.

My question is:
Should I switch to British Gas given its not so good reputation in terms of customer satisfaction???

At least you do know your yearly usage which is more than can be said for a lot of people that go on comparison sites.
Find out the price of BG energy 5 units,taking into account any price increase and do your maths.
The same applies to any energy company that you enquire about.
When you find a deal that you`re happy with ---- go for it.
Do not rely on the comparison sites alone.

You should appreciate that BG's Click 5 tariff did not change when they increased their standard tariff a few days ago.

Click 5 is widely expected to increase in price soon.

That said all versions of the BG Click energy(internet) accounts have been pretty competitive, and there are signs that BG's new computer system has got rid of some the gremlins that that made it a disaster.
