item delivered faulty

i recived a digital video recorder on saturday,
it does not work completly dead, i rang up company i bought it from and told them its faulty, they said i would have to apply for a RMA number on monday
which i have
i just recived RMA number in my email and see that i have to post the item back my self and pay postage, ' which it says that if a fault is found the postage will be refunded.
i thought that if the item was recived faulty then they should arrange to collect and replace the video recorder ??
and i can see this costing a lot at post office as its quite heavy.

should they collect???

For god sake dont go down that road mate, not mdbarbers route....send it back and wait for a replacement, then reclaim your postage caost

They refund your postage once you return it.

If you buy online you have to accept the hastle of returning an item if you need to.

can i cancel a replacement now and ask for a refund back onto my card, as its taken so long for the replacement to come, the item arrived on the 9th August faulty , was posted back on the 13th, and i am still waiting for a replacement, 23rd august, can i say i dont want to wait for a replacement now, but a refund as they sold me goods that arrived not working. ?
