Which is the best card to use for collecting air miles?

I collect them using my NatWest Visa. I think it gives you one mile per £20 spent. Not sure how this compares to other ways of collecting Air Miles but there you go

"Air miles" covers all sorts of different schemes. Most airlines have an air miles scheme and unless they are part of a group they are not compatible.

So the first question is which air miles are you collecting?

You might like to look at this table which lists the rewards schemes each card provides, including miles, however it is rather out of date.

If you don't care which then have a look at the BMI card. Just taking it out and doing one transaction is enough to give you enough "Destination Miles" to get a return ticket to most of Europe.

If you have a Tesco credit card you get 1 clubacrd point for every £2 you spend. You can then convert these to Air Miles at 12 miles for every 50 clubcard points.

Therefore, you get 12 miles for every £100 you spend or 2.4 miles for every £20 so it is 2.4 times better than the Natwest card!
